Top saves of 2012: Kennedy vs LA

They say three times the charm but when it comes to saves, Goalkeeper Dan Kennedy denies them all. Among the 109 saves Goalkeeper Dan Kennedy had in the 2012 season, three of those came from the first SuperClásico of the year, the first victory for Chivas USA since 2007.

The Goats and the Galaxy were scoreless in the 50th minute when a corner kick taken by LA’s Landon Donovan led to three consecutive saves for Kennedy, denying Pat Noonan, Sean Franklin and Kyle Nakazawa. Because of this, Kennedy earned a nomination for MLS Save of the Week.

In that match alone, Kennedy had four saves and earned his third shutout of the season. Check it out:
