U.S. U18 to face Canada

By Olivia Cervantes

Chivas USA’s Marco Delgado and Academy player Ben Spencer joined the U.S. U18 Training Camp last Saturday, November 17 for a one-week camp held in The Home Depot Center. The red, white and blue will face the Canadian U18 squad on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 23 in the Carson stadium as part of the training camp.

The last training camp for the U.S. U18 was back in early September. Both Delgado and Spencer made the ten-day training camp trip to the Netherlands. The American squad earned a 3-1-0 record against the youth ranks of Feyenoord Rotterdam, Borussia Dortmund and Club Brugge. The most impressive win for the U18’s was a 4-2 victory over the home country’s youth national team on Sept. 11.

In four friendly games this year, the U18’s hold a 1-1-2 record, with Academy forward Spencer leading as team scorer with two goals.

Come out and enjoy a pre-Thanksgiving day match and cheer on Chivas USA players at The Home Depot Center; both matches will start at 3 p.m. PT, are open and free to the public. CDChivasUSA.com will be tweeting from the match. Follow us: @cdchivasusa
