CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, May 23, 2012) Chivas USA announced today an exclusive partnership with Long Beach and South Bay’s youth soccer club, Beach FC. Beach FC joins Chivas USA’s growing youth club network that supports the development of soccer in Southern California.
Chivas USA General Manager Jose Domene commented the following about the partnership. “This is a great partnership for us, strategically it makes sense as it is in our back yard. Their staff is top tier, and this will allow us to get the best talent in the area to join the Chivas USA and Beach FC family"
In this partnership, Chivas USA will support Beach FC’s club, coaching, and player development, as well as tournaments and player identification.
“This is an excellent opportunity to work together with Beach FC in our shared passion, philosophy and commitment to player development in the talent abundant Long Beach and the greater South Bay areas. Beach FC have all the necessary components of a top tier club in place,” said Chivas USA’s Assistant Head Coach and Academy Technical Director, Greg Vanney. "We are very excited about this opportunity and the long-term potential of this relationship.”
Beach FC will learn Chivas USA’s coaching philosophies and curriculum; host training sessions and camps/clinics with Chivas USA Youth Academy and first team staff coaches, as well as participate in player exchange programs.
